Caden is playing fall ball Little League right now. He lucked into a great coach and team and is playing really well. He's been making good plays and getting good hits, including two solid singles and a walk during Sunday's scorcher of a game. They played over in Lake Forest, where it was 100 degrees at game time. Yikes!
On Saturday, we escaped the heat in the afternoon by venturing to the Lyon Air Museum in Santa Ana. The boys had fun watching the jets take off, checking out the WWII bombers - including one of the only remaining B-17s still flying - and looking at the vintage motorcycles.
We've been decorating Finn's room, including painting, installing a new light, and getting a new chair. Here he is on his comfy new throne.
We've also been working on the downstairs craft and guest space, including having a family heirloom quilt top finished for the bed.
Caden's Cub Scout pack led an inspiring assembly for Constitution Day. Caden welcomed his school mates to the assembly and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
And on Labor Day Weekend, we headed down to San Jusn Capistrano for antiquing, the petting zoo, and a tasty lunch at El Adobe.

I can't believe you play ball in such heat--you're really tough, Caden! Glad you're doing so well. I'm impressed that your scout troop led the assembly!
Looks like a fun Sept. With all your adventure. Love the quilt!
