We braved the backroads to explore the geology and rugged coastline of Cornwall last weekend. We chose Kynance Cove on the Lizard Peninsula - the southernmost point in England - because a serpentine rocky outcrop is exposed and eroded by the ocean. It was a perfect sunny, coastal playground for two boys and their marine ecologist parents, and there was even an incredible cafe for lunch and treats overlooking the ocean.

Found it on the map! Looks like a wonderful place to explore! You look so colorful, including the ice cream cone—looks refreshing, and must’ve added to the chilliness and exhilaration of the day 😉
